Built in 2011 and handed over to the client in 2012, it is the first building in Southern Italy to be certified by the two most prestigious independent European institutes PassivHaus (D) and Agenzia Casaclima (BZ).
Located in the Municipality of Mascalucia on the slopes of Etna and thanks to the low energy needs and renewable energy production plants is able to produce more energy than it consumes.
It is a completely electric building realized applying the PassivHaus and CasaClima Gold protocols adapted to the Mediterranean climate through a design model of calculation in dynamic regime able to respond to the problems related to the climate and to the management of high summer temperatures.
The primary objectives of the project was to build a building with very high Comfort, Healthy and Efficient Energy.
